Seasoning Shop came about in 1997 just as Mr. Hemant Desai was working on a Casai’s Gourmet Seasoning Shop in San Antonio, Texas as his son Carmant Desai was growing up. At the time Mr. Desai was operating Cardy’s Seafood and Cardy’s Steak & Seafood both restaurants’ customers start asking about his Seasoned French Fries, Fish Nuggets*, Fried Shrimp, Fried Catfish, Blackened Fish, Hush Puppies, Coleslaw, Ranch Dressing and Cajun Rice Recipe and products. Mr. Desai was known in the North Star Mall Food Court as Mr. Cardy so he decided to create the Seasoning Blends and Related Recipes under the name Cardy’s so that people can relate and make the same tasting food at home with confidence.
